Get this Look: Marble Top Table

Hi Guys! It's Meghan.

I'm back with a new Get This Look post featuring a counter height marble top table that recently came into the store. The top of this table is in beautiful condition and the legs come off which makes it easy to move.

The base is a little dark, but it's a classic look that would blend well with vintage AND modern styles. There is also a matching bar that would make a great counter or kitchen storage.

The first inspiration pic I took from Pinterest features a marble top dining table with modern looking wooden chairs and a tea set. If you like this look, try a neutral color like French Linen or Old Ochre Chalk Paint® on the base and legs to brighten it up! You wouldn't want to go with a super white for our table because the marble has a warm tan tone, but you could get a similar feel.

The second inspiration picture also features a lighter color base on the table, but it's paired with adorable bright green stools and a cool patterned rug! Add a vintage movie or art poster and a cool light fixture and you've got the look! I personally love this second look the best, even though the first photo is so chic and classy, because I love the eclectic feel. (Also, who doesn't love a photo with a cat in it?!)

Do you love this look but a new table is just not in the budget right now? 4 the Love of Wood blog has a pretty cute tutorial on how to fake a marble top with paint - and the body of her piece is Chalk Paint®! CLICK HERE to see her tutorial.

We hope you've enjoyed this little burst of inspiration. Until next time!
