Chalk Paint® Display Cabinet Makeover

I recently painted sample boards for the Chalk Paint® display cabinet at the shop and had such fun I thought I would share it with you.

Lined up here at the Phantastic Phinds Workshop is all 31 colors of Chalk Paint® and stacked on top are raw wood sample boards waiting to be transformed.

I loved the way my brushes looked waiting to be cleaned...

Here they are with just paint, most only got one coat but some of the deeper pigmented colors needed two coats, like Napoleonic Blue, Graphite, Barcelona, Antibes, Olive... you get the idea. (It is recommended to do two coats of paint on most projects).

After the paint was dry I waxed all the boards with Annie's clear wax, then taped them off to do just dark wax on half.

I love how DARK the dark wax is when you first put it on.

After the wax was wiped off and the tape was removed, our boards were done!

We used Velcro to adhere them to the display cabinet so our wonderful customers could play with them and pick colors and waxes and have fun!

 I am loving this!

See you at the shop!
