DIY Updates for Vintage Silverplate - Trays, Teapots, Silverware & More

Silverplateis in abundance these days! About 30 years ago it was the go to wedding gift for new couples. Most of it, we have found out, was hardly used in those 30 years and the now 55+ empty-nesters who are downsizing and cleaning house have lots to unload. Over abundance makes the once pricey must-polish pieces not so valuable in price but ultra valuable in style. I like mine tarnished and worn but with a little creativity and paint you can turn old silver into a new favorite!

We did a quick look up of some favorite silverplate redos. We credited the source where possible with a link back. If you would like more info about where the images came from just shoot us a quick message. Thanks!

Ok this one is not silverplate but we loved it so much - A galvanized bucket turned bench - the hardest part would be to cut an oval wood piece for the top, then just reupholster.
